Valor is a mobile app for practicing difficult career conversations by voice against an AI counterpart, with an AI career coach. This policy explains what data we handle, why, and what happens to it.
Who operates Valor
Valor is operated by Minimal Consulting Limitada (Chilean tax ID 77.822.263-9), Mario Dueñas 678, Linares, Chile, 3580000, which is the data controller for the data described in this policy. Contact: support@valorapp.io.
What we collect
- Account. Sign-in is handled by Clerk (our authentication provider). We receive your email address, name, and profile picture if you sign in with Google or Apple. We do not see or store your password.
- Practice calls (voice). Your audio is processed in real time to run the conversation. We do not store the audio. We do store the text transcript of each call and the scores generated from it, tied to your account, so you can review your progress.
- Coach chat. Messages you send to the AI coach are processed to generate replies and stored as part of your session history.
- Purchases. Subscriptions are processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play and managed through RevenueCat. We never see your payment card details; we receive only your subscription status.
- Push notifications. If you opt in, OneSignal processes a push token for your device so we can send practice reminders. You can turn this off in your system settings at any time.
Who processes your data
We use a small set of processors, each only for what is listed here:
| Processor | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Clerk | Account and sign-in |
| ElevenLabs | Real-time voice calls: transcription, the counterpart's replies, and its synthesized voice |
| Google (Gemini API) | Post-call scoring and feedback, coach chat |
| Neon | Database hosting for your account, transcripts, and scores |
| Vercel | Application hosting |
| RevenueCat + app stores | Subscription management |
| OneSignal | Push notifications (only if you opt in) |
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Retention and deletion
- Transcripts and scores are kept while your account exists.
- You can delete your account inside the app: Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, transcripts, scores, and history. An active subscription must be cancelled separately in your store settings (Apple and Google manage the billing relationship, not us).
Your choices
- Microphone access is requested only when you start your first call, and can be revoked in system settings (calls won’t work without it).
- Push permission is optional and requested only after you’ve seen your first score.
